Manual Book Keeping

The aim of this ebook is to help you understand manual book keeping, by completing various templates (books of prime entry & journals).

There is a work book that accompanies this ebook.  The ebook contains all the case study data that will be entered into the work book.

By undertaking double entry book-keeping protocols the totals from the (books of prime entry) and individual (journals) are entered on to an Extended Trial Balance.  This is in debit and credit format for each task 1-6.

Once these tasks are completed the Profit & Loss a/c and Balance Sheet can then be derived and task 7 & 8 involves completing the templates for
the Profit & Loss a/c and Balance Sheet (Certain Ratios can also be calculated).

Understanding manual book keeping & double entry book keeping protocols will then lead you on to fully understanding an accounting package like Sage 50.
